Courtney Elizabeth Guido is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in individual and couples therapy. She works primarily with adolescents, adults and geriatrics populations. Courtney has formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques. She utilizes different modalities when working with her clients depending on what they need and finds it important to start where the client is.
Courtney uses a variety of interventions including motivational interviewing, mindfulness and behavioral techniques. She centers treatment on helping individuals and couple find stability and balance in their lives by helping them make attainable goals. Courtney is happy to incorporate spirituality into treatment at the request of the client.
Upon graduation from West Virginia University, Courtney worked in a community mental health setting in West Virginia to provide therapy for clients with chronic and multiple mental health diagnoses. Courtney later moved to Winston-Salem where she worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in a variety of roles, including in an integrative medicine program for Family and Community Medicine.
Courtney received her Masters of Social Work from West Virginia University in 2012. She is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina.
